Homefront Will Support 3D Vision

The PC version of Homefront will include 3D Vision support in addition to a bevy of other exclusive features, the developer revealed on their blog (http://community.homefront-game.com/blog-post/homefront-pc).

In terms of the quality of 3D, the developer assured gamers that it was going to be awesome. "We showed it off at CES earlier this year, it looked rad," the blog read.

In addition to 3D Vision capabilities, the PC version of Homefront will also support SLI, a PC optimized interface with squad management controls, additional camera options, an added practice mode, dedicated server software, and Steamworks. In addition to community-related functions that Steamworks will provide, the service will also integrate Valve's Anti Cheat feature into the game to counter cheating.

Finally, system specifications (minimum, recommended, and NVIDIA 3D Vision) were revealed:

  • Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7
  • Intel Pentium Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or AMD Athlon X2 2.8GHz
  • 2 GB RAM
  • Shader Model 3.0 graphics card with 256MB of memory
  • NVIDIA GeForce 7900GS
  • 10GB of free hard drive space

  • Windows Vista or Windows 7
  • Intel or AMD Quad Core 2 GHz+ CPU
