TimeGate Studios has announced that Section 8: Prejudice will retail for $14.99. Prejudice is the sequel to 2009’s solid online first-person shooter Section 8.

The developer describes the sequel as a “full-featured, sci-fi-themed, first-person shooter that delivers a 5-hour, story-driven single-player campaign, robust online multiplayer for up to 32 players across a variety of maps, and a new 4-player co-op game mode, entitled Swarm.”

While Prejudice’s main focus will be online, like Section 8 before it, the game will allow players to play with offline bots.

Addressing concerns of the adage “you get what you pay for,” Adel Chaveleh, CEO of TimeGate Studios, said “we’re challenging the notion of just how much quality and value we can pack into a digital download first-person shooter.” He added, “Our target is very simply to be the highest quality, best value digital FPS on the market. Prejudice is a full-retail-scoped product, so I’m sure our fans will be very happy with our price-point decision.”

TimeGate Studios will also support the game post-launch with “a substantial downloadable content plan.”

Prejudice is schedule for release in the first quarter of 2011. It will be available on Steam and Games for Windows – LIVE on Demand.
