NVIDIA SHIELD Hub 3.3 Introduces New Features & Functionality

SHIELD

Today, with the launch of GeForce GTX 980 and 970 graphics cards, we’re bringing new software updates to SHIELD devices with the release of SHIELD Hub 3.3 and GeForce Experience 2.1.2. These updates will help gamers get the most out of their NVIDIA GameStream experience, and deliver a few goodies for PC and Android gamers alike.

GameStream Updates

First, we’ve included a GameStream network tester, so you can check the network bandwidth on your SHIELD device to ensure you’re getting the best service.

In SHIELD Hub, go to Settings, select GameStream-ready PCs, select connected PC, and select Test connection.

GameStream will automatically enable your controller's virtual mouse on the GameStream launch screen, allowing easier navigation of Steam and Origin dialog boxes. While in the launch screen, you can also quit streaming by pressing B.

SHIELD Controller Now Supported on GeForce PCs

When we released the SHIELD controller in July, one of the biggest requests from our community was to add PC support. With the release of GeForce Experience 2.1.2, we’ve now added wired PC controller support, allowing you to control your favorite PC games using the SHIELD controller. SHIELD controller now supports over 400 PC titles automatically out of the box without requiring any manual button mapping. Simply install the latest GeForce Experience update and plug the SHIELD controller into your PC using the USB cable. For more information, visit: http://shield.nvidia.com/pc-controller-faq/.

Additional SHIELD Hub Enhancements

SHIELD Hub now gives you the freedom to add and remove games and apps within the user interface.

From MY ANDROID GAMES or MY MEDIA APPS tab, select "+ Add/Remove" and then select add or remove application.

SHIELD owners also have the ability to share news items and swipe-navigate between news articles using touch or gamepad.

Plus, we've integrated official game reviews from press for select games in the SHOP tab.
