How long have you been in the modding game? And what first got you into modding?

I have been modding for 10 years, and have finished over 100 works. I’m a person that like to chase the extreme; I don’t want to be the same as others, such as my cloth, shoes and other things in daily life. Since PCs are my passion, that drives me to make my PCs more special than others. It has to look more fantastic and must be unique. That’s the reason I started to mod.

Where did you draw your inspiration from for this Heroes of the Storm (HOTS) mod?

I’m an enthusiastic fan of Blizzard. I played StarCraft and Diablo during my junior high school days, and these games were influential in my life. This rig brings back memories of my school days while containing many elements of this latest game.

Tell us more detail about this rig?

This rig is combined from two separated system, one is an ITX with a GeForce GTX 960 and the other is an ATX chassis with 2 GeForce GTX 980 Ti's in SLI. It has a very ingenious exterior design. You can find some classical game characters on it and I put all these heroes together in harmonious and cohesive manner. And I used different materials based on the game’s background. You can find wood as well as metal with high tech impression on it- very cool and funny.

What do you take into consideration when you have to incorporate theme into your rigs?

Every time we start a new project like this one, it’s not just a simple mod. We must find out the story behind the game and the theme. For example, I once wanted to make a Ferrari-themed mod, so I borrowed a real one. I drove it on the racing track in order to experience the real feeling of driving a Ferrari.

It’s the same way about building a game themed mod. We need to play this game for weeks, to find the hidden background story or an interesting aspect of the game that will help us to achieve the complete style of a true themed mod. It is only in this way that you can make a real authentic, true-to-heart rig.

What’s do you enjoy most about modding? Why do you DIY?

It offers me a sense of achievement. Why choose DIY? I’d like to say it is all about a dream. I discussed with my friend about our dream when I was 18 years old and my dream was to establish a PC brand with cool and fantastic appearances and configuration. Fortunately it has come true after 10 years. And while it is a small brand now, the experience has been amazing as I've seen improvement everyday. To me, DIY is not only my dream, but also the key to make my dream come true.
