A Diablo-esque game from the creators of Diablo was unsurprisingly popular. Three years and over a million sales later, Runic Games is readying a bigger, better sequel that enhances every aspect of the original, and will once again scratch that loot-sweeping itch.
First and foremost, Torchlight II sports online, four-player co-op, the most requested feature. Together, you and three friends can jaunt through the randomized overworld, dungeons, and innumerable labyrinths, slaughtering enemies by the thousand. And as in any dungeon crawler, the aim of the game is to collect loot, level your character, battle through bosses, and reach the end game before starting over again on Hardcore mode, which sees your character permanently deleted should he or she be killed in-game.
