Dying Light: The Following Expansion Unleashed on PC
Dying Light just got a lot bigger with the release of Dying Light: The Following, an expansion pack for the first-person survival horror game now available on PC as either a standalone add-on to the original Dying Light, or as part of the new Enhanced Edition you can find at retail.
In Dying Light: The Following, players will discover the next chapter of Kyle Crane's story. In the process, they'll gain access to a new region that is the size of all previous Dying Light maps combined. In addition to all-new areas to explore and destroy undead enemies in, the expansion also introduces all-terrain dirt buggies.
Techland explains that the new all-terrain vehicles in Dying Light: The Following are essential for getting around the extremely dangerous countryside without becoming zombie food. Players can also level up their new Driver Rank skill tree and upgrade their vehicle to be an efficient tool for mowing down hordes of flesh-eating undead.
As Kyle Crane, players will wander the outback, facing off against not only the infected, but also a cult of survivors who have some serious issues of their own. It's up to you to figure out just how deep those issues run in The Following. Players will infiltrate the cult, earning their trust by carrying out tasks and mission objectives in order to uncover their sinister secrets.
If you've already purchased Dying Light and the Season Pass, then you will already be able to enjoy the new expansion. If not, you can purchase Dying Light: The Following as a standalone expansion (which requires the base game to play) or as part of the new Dying Light: Enhanced Edition, the later of which comes with an enhanced version of the original game, the new Dying Light: The Following expansion, a Season Pass that will get you all available DLC, and the Be the Zombie multiplayer mode.
