Bethesda Softworks and Human Head Studios have released an impressive CG trailer for Prey 2, exemplifying the gameplay and visual styling of the anticipated sequel. Unlike the original game, which was very much a linear, story-led shooter based on survival and the rescuing of a loved one, Prey 2 stars an Air Marshall sucked through a portal to an alien world during the events of the first game, who is forced to adapt and become a fearsome bounty hunter to flourish in a hostile environment. Departing from the linearity of the original, Prey 2 allows players to go wherever they want, whenever they want, capturing bounty targets or picking up peripheral side-missions for extra cash.
So different is Prey 2, in fact, that even the movement system has been completely altered, with Prey 2’s protagonist able to free-run his way through the environment like Ezio and Altair from Assassin’s Creed.
Most of the details pertaining to the game are still under wraps, so for the time being sit back and enjoy another spectacular CG trailer, the likes of which only roll around once a year.
