Far Cry 4 Revealed, Hits PC on November 18

Gaming News

Ubisoft announced that the fourth major installment in its flagship open-world FPS franchise, Far Cry 4, will launch on PC on November 18.

Set in the high peaks of the Himalayas, the forthcoming Far Cry game represents a bit of a departure for the series as it is the first to not take place within a tropical setting.

Instead, Far Cry 4 takes players to the fictional province of Kyrat located in Asia’s Himalaya mountain range. Unfortunately, the region is controlled by a tyrannical, self-appointed king who will undoubtedly create some problems for the player.

Far Cry 4 Executive Producer Dan Hay explained that the development team wanted to surprise and exceed the expectations of fans by taking the series to a bold new setting.

"Given the unique setting," Hay added, "we feel Far Cry 4 will stand out as a top first-person shooter and we’re eager to reveal more about the game in the coming months."

Ubisoft will release Far Cry 4 on PC on November 18. You can also pre-order the game to automatically upgrade to the Limited Edition, which includes three bonus playable missions starring Far Cry 3’s harpoon gun-wielding wildman, Hurk.
