F.E.A.R. 3 Co-op Trailer

Warner Bros. Interactive has released a cooperative trailer for F.E.A.R. 3, its scary first-person shooter.

The video goes over what the company calls a “divergent” cooperative experience. While many games like Left 4 Dead are featuring online cooperative play, the co-op in F.E.A.R. 3 will feature asymmetrical play; this is to say each player in F.E.A.R. 3 will have access to unique sets of abilities. This will push teams to tackle different situations together within the confines of having dynamic skill sets.

While the game will feature cooperative play, Day 1 Studios says the mode will also promote competitive elements. Being very positive on the cooperative experience so far, WB Games Director of Design Frank Rooke said, “Adding co-op impacts the franchise in a very positive way,” he continued, “it created a whole new type of F.E.A.R. experiences that will forever change the F.E.A.R. franchise.”
