For Honor: GeForce GTX 1060 Recommended For 1080p 60 FPS PC Gaming
Ubisoft®’s For Honor™ is an immersive and fast-paced single-player and multiplayer action game that sees Knights, Samurai and Vikings compete in visceral hand-to-hand combat that requires tactical thinking and fast reflexes. And like any good multiplayer game, a smooth, stable framerate of 60 FPS or more is recommended to ensure your system keeps up your actions, and stutter doesn’t get you killed.
To play with a High level of detail at 60 FPS or more, during the most demanding and action-packed moments of For Honor, you’ll require a system or laptop with a GeForce GTX 1060, or a previous-generation GPU of comparable power, such as the GeForce GTX 970.
To quantify our claim of fast and smooth gaming we need to look at frametimes, the length of time it takes a GPU to render each frame of gameplay. An average framerate of 60 or above is an excellent indicator of overall performance, but it gives you little idea of how the game 'felt'. Was the experience stuttery? Were there momentary stalls? And did some moments of the game run at a much lower framerate?
Indicators of an undesirable, unpleasant experience include frequent split-second frametime spikes above 33.3 milliseconds (30 FPS and below), non-stop spikes that jump between low and far higher frametimes, and portions of gameplay that are above 33.3 milliseconds for more than a mere moment. To learn more, check out this pioneering press article.
In our For Honor benchmark, used for determining the recommended GPUs for the game, there are only a few momentary spikes and none above 33.3 milliseconds; there are no periods of spiking between low and high frametimes; and almost all of the benchmark runs at below 16.6 milliseconds, the 60 FPS sweet spot. In other words, the recommended GeForce GTX 10-Series GPUs not only deliver a High level of graphical fidelity at over 60 frames per second, they’re also super smooth with no stuttering or stalls, giving you a fluid, responsive gaming experience.
In addition to delivering the performance to smoothly play For Honor, the recommended GeForce GTX 10-Series graphics cards support our vast array of critically acclaimed technologies, giving you the definitive gaming experience, unmatched by any other platform. And if you're daunted by manually configuring For Honor’s many graphics settings, load up GeForce Experience and click "Optimize" to instantly receive optimized settings that ensure a smooth 60 FPS experience on your system.
