Gameloft’s Greatest Games Get Full SHIELD Support
From shooters and sports simulators to racing games and RPGs, Gameloft is responsible for some of the most graphically advanced video game franchises available on mobile platforms.
Gameloft has now enhanced these mobile gaming experiences by integrating native controller support for Android devices, including the NVIDIA SHIELD tablet and NVIDIA SHIELD portable.
Here’s a look at six of Gameloft’s newly-enhanced mobile games, each of which will keep you entertained for hours and hours when you’re out and about with your SHIELD devices.
Gameloft’s dark fantasy-themed dungeon crawler, Dungeon Hunter 4, casts players as a fearless warrior who must rid the realm of Valenthia from a nightmarish race of demonic adversaries. The game boasts both a rich, story-driven single-player campaign with four distinct playable character classes as well as multiplayer modes like co-op and team deathmatch.
Dungeon Hunter 4’s fast-paced, hack and slash-style combat and role-playing gameplay require quick decision-making and strategic planning—an experience that really lends itself to being played on the SHIELD with a controller. The game is also available to download for free.
Modern Combat 5: Blackout
Modern Combat 5: Blackout, the latest installment in Gameloft’s military-themed first-person shooter franchise, puts players in command of an elite soldier charged with hunting down a terrorist faction in a gripping campaign that unfolds across real-world locations around the globe from the historic city of Venice to the bustling streets of Tokyo. The game brings a slew of new features to the Modern Combat series including four fully-customizable soldier classes to suit your particular play style, robust multiplayer support and brand new Spec-Ops missions for short burst gameplay sessions.
Modern Combat 5: Blackout also looks awesome on SHIELD as it packs impressively high-end visual effects like caustics, reflections, weapon blur, depth of field , god rays, motion and radial blur and advanced graphical touches like heat haze distortion that wafts off recently fired gun muzzles.
GT Racing 2: The Real Car Experience
Featuring a diverse assortment of stunningly detailed and authentically recreated sport vehicles to get behind the wheel of, GT Racing 2: The Real Car Experience brings a slew of gameplay and graphical enhancements to Gameloft’s racing simulation series.
The sequel includes dynamic new weather effects, player challenges, and an enormous showroom of luxury sports cars to drive including the Bugatti Veyron, Lamborghini Sesto Elemento and McLaren MP4-12C to name of few. Racing games, perhaps more than most genres, are tough to pull off with touchscreen controls. GT Racing 2 is no different and benefits from its controller support for SHIELD.
In Six-Guns, players are thrust into the lawless world of the American Old West where supernatural horrors are as much a real threat as trigger-happy outlaws roaming the lands. As Buck Crosshaw, it’s up to players to gun down adversaries—human and otherwise—in a third-person action experience with strikingly detailed environments and visuals that shine on NVIDIA Tegra K1 and Tegra 4-powered SHIELD machines.
While shooting is very much at the heart of the experience, Six-Guns mixes things up with horseback riding, team deathmatch multiplayer and loads of unlockable guns and gear. Six-Guns is now free to download on SHIELD with a variety of optional in-game purchases also available.
Asphalt 8: Airborne
Asphalt 8: Airborne kicks Gameloft’s visually stunning arcade racing series into high gear with a profusion of new features including its career mode packed with 180 events and meticulously detailed high-performance luxury vehicles built for speed like the Lamborghini Veneno and Ferrari FXX.
The new Asphalt also tops the graphical fidelity of previous games in the series with high-end visual effects such as real-time geometry reflections, advanced shaders and a realistic vehicle damage system for when you just can’t avoid colliding with other cars on the road. Once you sufficiently hone your racing skills you can also challenge your friends to race in multiplayer, which supports up to eight players racing at once.
Real Soccer 2013
The latest edition of Gameloft’s soccer simulator series, Real Soccer 2013, allows fans of the sport to develop their own team from an inexperienced club comprised of talented rookies to full-blown world champions.
Real Soccer 2013 also brings a new sense of realism to the soccer management sim as the development team has captured more than 700 motion-captured animations in order to bring the game of soccer to life. It’s the next best thing to managing your own soccer club without the stress and finances involved in the real thing. You can download the game for free on SHIELD today.
Dungeon Hunter 4, Modern Combat 5, GT Racing 2, Six-Guns, Asphalt 8 and Real Soccer 2013 are now available to download on SHIELD via TegraZone.
