Available on shop shelves June 1st, inXile Entertainment’s Hunted: The Demon’s Forge takes the action of the latest and greatest shooters and transplants it into a fantasy setting that sees two players co-operate online to defeat the evil doers in a range of expansive outdoor arenas and underground dungeons.
Though not the most original of premises, Hunted has garnered favourable reactions from the press and hopes to impress with its action mechanics, said to be reminiscent of Epic’s blockbusting Gears Of War. Check out the trailer below for a taste of what’s to come, and for further info visit the game’s official website.
Oh, and fact fans might like to know that the subtitle, The Demon’s Forge, refers to the first game developed by inXile Entertainment’s founder, Brian Fargo, back in 1981. A basic text-input adventure, the game has long since been forgotten, but not by Brian, who thought elements of the game’s plot were suitable for reinvention.
