Unravel Two Lands On PC and Plays Perfectly On GeForce GTX 10-Series GPUs

Featured Stories, Indie Games

All year long we’ve been highlighting some of the best new indie games, like Frostpunk, FAR: Lone Sails, and A Way Out. This month we’ve got just one game to highlight: Unravel Two, a side-on co-op adventure game from Coldwood Interactive and Electronic Arts.

In Unravel Two, you play as two Yarnys – small magical beings made of wool and connected by a single thread. Use their shared yarn to solve puzzles, create new paths, and swing your way through the world like mini acrobats. Play both Yarnys on your own, or bring a friend into the fun with drop-in local couch co-op.

Your job is to find something important that’s gone missing: a mysterious “spark.” It belongs to two young people the Yarnys are meant to help, and to get it back you must follow a path made of their memories. Explore a blossoming world full of beautiful natural environments, urban cityscapes, and eerie hideaways, and work together to pass every obstacle. But there’s danger lurking ahead, too, and you’ll have to dodge shadowy monsters, deadly obstacles, and hungry fowl to make it through. Luckily, you always have a friend by your side.

Unravel Two isn’t only just about these specific Yarnys, though – the world is full of different-looking Yarnys. Rescuing others trapped in tricky challenge maps earns you patterns you can use to customize the main characters. Try out new heads, bodies, eyes, and colors of yarn to make these Yarnys your own.

With an average OpenCritic score of 80, Unravel Two has become a fan favorite of gamers of both single player and couch co-op experiences. Here’s what people are saying:

IGN - 8.5 out of 10 - "Unravel Two improves on the original in almost every respect, with better platforming and puzzles."

Gamespot - 8 out of 10 - "There will come times when you have to stop and figure out a way past complicated obstacles, and this is where Unravel Two's co-op nature shines."

But don’t just take their word, or ours, that Unravel Two is worth your time - from now until July 30, there’s a free Unravel Two trial available to download and play. And as you'll find out, Unravel Two plays at a fast and fluid framerate, with a high level of detail, on every GeForce GTX 10-Series GPU.
