This week, Konami and Kojima Productions took the wraps off the long-awaited PC edition of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, and today we can exclusively share with you the first 1920x1080 PC screenshots from the game. Even better, we're able to show you how the PC conversion compares to the original PlayStation 4 release using our interactive screenshot comparison tool.
If you're unfamiliar with Metal Gear, it is a sprawling franchise spanning nearly three decades of games, primarily focussed on sneaky special forces action. There's an unbelievably huge interconnected story that when summarized covers hundreds of pages, it's famous for its hours of in-game, expertly-directed cinematics, and its developer, Hideo Kojima, is regarded as one of gaming's best. For PC gamers who are fans, excitement for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has reached fever-pitch, as it is the first game in the mainline series to launch on PC since Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty in 2003. The even better news is that Ground Zeroes will be followed by Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in 2015 (Ground Zeroes is in essence a prologue).

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes launches on PC on December 18th. In the meantime, anyone seeking more Metal Gear should check out the excellent action spin-off, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, which launched on PC earlier this year. Rumour has it, its impressive sales figures led the way for a return to PC for Metal Gear Solid.
