NVIDIA GameWorks To Enhance Assassin’s Creed Unity, Far Cry 4, The Crew & Tom Clancy’s The Division
NVIDIA and Ubisoft today announced an extension to our technical partnership, which will result in Assassin’s Creed Unity, Far Cry 4, The Crew, and Tom Clancy’s The Division being enhanced with the latest NVIDIA GameWorks technologies, like NVIDIA PhysX, NVIDIA HBAO+ Ambient Occlusion, and NVIDIA TXAA Anti-Aliasing.

Previously, our partnership saw Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist, and Watch Dogs enhanced with a variety of effects. In Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag, GPU accelerated NVIDIA PhysX effects, NVIDIA HBAO+ Ambient Occlusion, NVIDIA TXAA Anti-Aliasing, NVIDIA Percentage Closer Soft Shadows, and NVIDIA DirectX 11 God Rays combined to create the definitive edition of 2013’s popular open-world pirate-action game. In Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist, our first collaborative work, we introduced the world to the aforementioned NVIDIA HBAO+ Ambient Occlusion, a paradigm shift in the field of occlusion-based shadowing. In addition, we implemented TXAA Anti-Aliasing, and assisted Ubisoft with the implementation of DirectX 11 tessellation and other graphical enhancements, as detailed in our article.
