NVIDIA GRID Adds Multi-Controller Support with SHIELD Hub Update
This week we’re introducing multi-controller support for GRID and introducing three new games coming to SHIELD, starting with Dead Rising 2.
In the latest update to the SHIELD Hub app we’re bringing multi-controller support to select titles in the GRID Games library so that you can enjoy all the benefits of game streaming with up to three friends, locally, using a single SHIELD device. Games with multi-controller support include:
- All LEGO titles (Batman, Marvel, Harry Potter, Hobbit & Lord of the Rings)
- Ultra Street Fighter 4*
- Street Fighter X Tekken*
- GRID 2
- Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams
- PixelJunk Monsters Ultimate
- PixelJunk Shooter
*Supports up to four players
To play, update to the latest version of the SHIELD Hub app (version 4.2.19442273), connect your controllers, and choose a supported game from the GRID Games menu. For the best multiplayer experience, connect SHIELD to your TV in console mode and play on the big screen.
We’ll be adding more games with multi-controller options, and this is just the first of several new features we’ve got planned for GRID.
For games, we’re proud to add Dead Rising 2 today on SHIELD.
To play, navigate to the GRID Games menu inside the SHIELD Hub app, and select Dead Rising 2 from the list of available titles.
Next week, look forward to Devil May Cry 4—one of the kings of action-adventure hack-and-slash. On April 14th, it’s time for a high-seas adventure in the pirate-themed action RPG Risen 2: Dark Waters.
The GRID Games library now includes 44 games that you can play on-demand on your SHIELD for free and NVIDIA’s committed to adding new games every week. Use the hashtag #SHIELDTuesday to tell us which PC games you’d like us to add next.
